I have a soft spot for Sigognac, and even though I travel to Bordeaux a number of times every year, I have never visited this property. What amazes me most about this ever-reliable wine is that Tanners still has stock of the noble 2015 vintage. Whisper it – this is seven years old and drinking a treat right now. This classic style of claret is medium-weight, refined, cassis and plum-kissed with toasty hints from the 50% new oak barrels. It is designed for Sunday lunch glory, so get in quick!
