I have written up a Paso-Primero wine from Thomas and Emma Holt before, and I love their philosophy, creativity, labels, and sense of freedom. However, all of their efforts could flop on the palate. I know hundreds of so-called lifestyle winemakers who make silly wines. But this new release, a field blend of Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer and Riesling, is simply sublime.
